Skyline Trail – Green River, Wyoming

The Skyline Trail is a multi-use, non-motorized trail that enhances the Green River Greenbelt trail system by connecting the Western Wyoming Community College Green River campus to the scenic ridgeline above the city. Designed with accessibility in mind, the trail offers expansive views of Green River.

Location & Accessibility

  • Location: Begins at Upland Way, climbs South Hill, traverses the ridgeline, and descends behind the Western Wyoming Community College campus.
  • Length: Approximately four miles
  • Width: Five feet wide
  • Surface: Soft, natural surface (not paved with concrete or asphalt)
  • Accessibility: Built with ADA-compliant design elements to accommodate users with mobility challenges
  • Scenic Views: Provides sweeping, panoramic views of Green River from elevations nearing 1,000 feet above the city
  • Multi-Use: Open to hikers, bikers, and other non-motorized users
  • Larger Vision: Serves as a key link in the Green River Greenbelt Task Force’s long-term goal of establishing a “Bronze Belt” network of trails throughout the hills above Green River
