Become a Sweetwater County Certified Tourism Ambassador! Join this four-hour training on November 18 to explore local history, build customer service skills and connect with your community. The $39 cost includes an afternoon snack.

Discover more about the place you call home and become a Sweetwater County Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA)! Join us Wednesday, November 18, 2026, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs.

Explore local history, recreation, arts, dining, outdoor adventures and community events while developing valuable customer service skills. From high school students and young professionals to retirees, CTA welcomes anyone interested in learning more and getting involved in Sweetwater County.

Earn a nationally recognized certification, strengthen your resume and connect with fellow community ambassadors. Your certification also includes free monthly CTA events to discover more about the area and network with other CTAs.

The four-hour training costs $39 per person and includes an afternoon snack. Participants will receive reading materials by email before class and complete an open-book test at the end. This is the only class required to become a CTA. Employers registering three or more employees qualify for a discount.
